  Just a video I put together, of the times I have been throughought owning my horse Harley Here is his story. In the summer & fall of '07 I began looking for a horse I could really do eventing with. I found and bought Harley as a 3 year old from a breeding farm in Eastern Washington. When I got him he only had 6 weeks under saddle, of w/t/c. He was super green when I got him, and over the past two years I have been bringing him up and I am training him for a hopeful career of eventing. I have learned so much with him, as he as with me. He's the first real challenge I've had owning a horse. There is never an easy horse. I am thankful for the trainers who have helped me, with lessons, and he is just now becoming the greatest horse I've ever had. I love him so much! I hope to not sell him, ever, and I am planning now to take him to college with me after I graduate. He will continue on in the journey with me, through life. Enjoy! I am also only 18 so I plan to become one of the youngest person in modern times to walk across America on my own. I intend to produce a documentary of my journey with which to call attention to my work and hopefully further my career. * Second, I am from a rural and somewhat empoverished part of the State of Oregon where young people are constantly bombarded with media messages leading them to believe there are no jobs out there for us and how little we have in the way of opportunity. I dont think either is true at all and think we have a great opportunity to create our own future just like I am doing. I plan to take the documentary and this message into the schools in rural areas in hope that it will inspire those younger than I am to ignore what they hear and create their own bright future. * Finally, my route takes me through the cities and towns of the heartland of America. I dont plan on spending much time in the large media centers. It is my hope at the end of this journey to meet with President Obama so I can share my journey with him. He is so surrounded by political operatives, handlers, pollsters, schedulers and the media that he doesnt get much of a chance to see the same slice of America as I have on this trip.
